Lalitpur: Targeting the rush of traffic in the lead-up to the Dashain festival, the Lalitpur District Administration Office has made special arrangements for the movement of public and private passenger vehicles heading to Makawanpur and Sindhuli via the Kanti highway.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Administration Office, Lalitpur has set a time limit for vehicle operation from September 23 to October 4. During this period, vehicles with a load-bearing capacity of 30 tons and a maximum of 10 wheels are required to reach the designated entry and departure points by 9:00 pm.
The administration highlights that the entry point from Makawanpur district is Baguwa (Bagmati Rural Municipality-2) and the departure point from Lalitpur district is Tikabhairav (Godavari Municipality-6).
In addition, the administration has urged passengers and drivers to travel with caution, stating that landslides and other risks remain as the monsoon rains continue to be active. Furthermore, drivers are instructed to follow traffic police instructions, observe lane discipline, and be aware of potential risks.
