Bharatpur: Twenty-one people were injured when seven vehicles collided with each other at Gaighat, Ward 29 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City this morning.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal of the District Police Office Chitwan reported that the accident occurred at 7:30 this morning. The injured are being treated at Chitwan Medical College, Janata Care Hospital, and National City Hospital.
A sequence of collisions began when a truck with registration plate number Na 8 Kha 6629, traveling from Muglin towards Narayangadh, collided with a bus bearing number Ba 4 Kha 7420 coming from the opposite direction. This was followed by a trailer with number Na 7 Kha 9607 colliding with the bus, then an electric microbus with number Ba Pra 06-001 Ga 0484, a bus with number Ga 2 Kha 1626, a Bolero with number Na 3 Cha 3256, and a car with number BAB 8470 each crashing into the vehicle in front of them.
Among those injured, 13 are receiving treatment at National City Hospital, four at Chitwan Medical College, and another four at Janata Care Hospital. Further details regarding the incident are still awaited.
