Two Nepali Nationals Rescued from Ukraine Border


Kathmandu: Two Nepali citizens, one from Rautahat and the other from Baglung, who had been held in confinement near the Ukraine border, have been rescued.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Jaya Prakash Sah from Rautahat and Sandesh KC from Baglung were rescued through the coordinated efforts of the Nepali Embassy in Berlin, Germany.



The rescue operation was made possible with the support of Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service, Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Germany, and other organizations. Sah and KC are expected to arrive home soon.



The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged all citizens to fully adhere to immigration and other laws of the countries they visit. It cautioned, “Violation, disregard or negligence of the laws of the concerned country may lead to arrest, prolonged detention or even the risk to life.”



Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the complexity of rescue operations in such cases and advised everyone to be cautious of various temptations and non-genuine offers, urging all to refrain from engaging in such affairs.
