Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has announced its decision to file a writ petition at the Supreme Court seeking the reinstatement of the House of Representatives. This decision emerged from a meeting involving members of the dissolved House of Representatives who represent the UML.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the party’s Chief Whip, Mahesh Bartaula, shared that the petition will be filed with signatures from the members. Both Bartaula and Whip Sunita Baral have been given the authority to register the petition. The meeting, which took place at the UML central office in Chyasal, was attended by party Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. Oli emphasized the importance of pursuing both a legal approach and a peaceful struggle to achieve the restoration of the parliament.
