US Assistant Secretary of State to Visit Nepal for High-Level Talks.


Kathmandu: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, is scheduled to pay an official visit to Nepal this week. The visit is part of his tour to South Asian countries, which includes Sri Lanka, India, and Nepal.

According to National News Agency Nepal, during the visit, the US diplomat will meet with the top leadership in Nepal to discuss environment conservation, women empowerment, and sustainable development as well as various aspects of the Nepal-US relations. His discussions will also center on the conservation of Nepal’s cultural heritages.

As stated by the US Department of State, Lu’s visit to South Asian nations begins today. His engagements in Nepal aim to strengthen bilateral ties and address key areas of mutual interest between the two countries, including cultural heritage conservation.
