Vice-President of Viet Nam to Make Historic Visit to Nepal


Kathmandu: At the cordial invitation of Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, is set to embark on an official visit to Nepal from August 23 to 25. This visit represents the first-ever highest-level engagement by Viet Nam to Nepal, highlighting the strengthening ties between the two nations.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the visit will include a significant bilateral meeting on August 24 in Kathmandu, where both Vice-Presidents will lead their respective delegations. The meeting aims to discuss and bolster the bilateral relations between the two countries. Additionally, Vice President Xuan will engage in courtesy meetings with high-ranking officials and dignitaries in Nepal, further solidifying diplomatic relations.



This year is particularly noteworthy as it commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Nepal and Viet Nam, marking half a century of cooperation and friendship. Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is scheduled to depart Kathmandu for Hanoi on August 25, concluding her landmark visit to Nepal.
