Vietnam and Nepal Vice Presidents Discuss Bilateral Cooperation


Kathmandu: A delegation led by Vice President of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, has met with Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav. The Vietnamese Vice President arrived here on Saturday for a three-day visit at the friendly invitation of Vice President Yadav.



According to National News Agency Nepal, during the meeting held today, the leaders discussed matters of religious similarities and the potential for religious and cultural tourism in both countries. They also exchanged views on bilateral, regional, and international concerns, shared Joint-Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prakash Adhikari.



The dialogue between the two Vice Presidents focused on the bilateral relationship between Nepal and Vietnam, which is grounded in friendship, goodwill, and respect for sovereignty. The relationship is progressing with a shared vision in the international forum. An understanding has been reached to facilitate ministry and different level visits between the two countries. Discussions highlighted Nepal’s opportunity to learn from Vietnam’s high-economic growth rate and investment potential, added Adhikari.



Bilateral trade, investment, digital technology, and people-to-people relations were among the topics discussed. This visit marks the first-ever highest-level visit to Nepal from Vietnam, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
