Workers’ Rights Tied to Socialist System, Says CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson

Pokhara: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has asserted that the issues facing workers can only be effectively resolved within a socialist state system. During an address at the ‘Ideological and Political Training’ programme organized by the Gandaki Province Committee of the All Nepal Trade Union Federation, Prachanda emphasized that despite progress, workers have yet to attain all their rights due to the consensus-driven nature of the current system.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Prachanda underscored the belief that the challenges confronting workers and other oppressed communities can only be tackled through a socialist framework. He urged preparations for a socialist revolution, suggesting that the path forward lies in adopting a unified strategy for the upcoming elections.

The former Prime Minister’s call to action reflects a broader push for systemic change, with an emphasis on aligning future political efforts with the principles of socialism to secure the rights and welfare of the working class.
