Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who also serves as the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, has highlighted the importance of identifying, promoting, and protecting lesser-known touristic destinations. She emphasized that this initiative is crucial for attracting visitors, earning foreign currency, creating jobs, and boosting the national income.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in her message on the occasion of the 46th World Tourism Day, the Prime Minister underscored Nepal’s allure to tourists, given its unique natural beauty, rich biodiversity, diverse cultures, and world-famous mountains. She noted that promoting tourism should be a key pillar of the national economy, acknowledging the challenges faced by the industry during the Gen-Z demonstrations for good governance. However, she assured that recovery efforts are underway.
