According to National News Agency Nepal, the code of conduct has been drafted in accordance with Section 22 of the Election Commission Act, 2073, with the objective of ensuring that the election process is free, fair, and cost-effective. The document comprises 10 chapters and five schedules. Once the new code is implemented, it will replace the previous code of 2079.
