Lungthung: A health unit has been set up at Lungthung, a remote area in Bhojpur district. The geographically challenging region of Lungthung in Hatuwagadhi-4 will benefit approximately 300 households with the newly established health facility.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the health unit was established after a prolonged effort and has already begun providing services to the local population. The initiative for setting up the health facility was taken by the ward, as informed by Chandra Bahadur Bista, Chairman of Ward No 4 in Hatuwagadhi.
“Lungthung is a distant and difficult place, so the people here were compelled to walk long distances to receive basic health services,” stated Bista, noting that the establishment of the health unit has brought relief to the locals.
Local resident Tirtha Kumari Rai expressed that previously, residents were forced to walk for hours, and some even lost their lives due to the lack of a primary health post. “It is easy for us to get the service now,” she shared.
Similarly, Man Bahadur Rai commented that the establishment of the health unit has ended their days of struggle and difficulty in accessing health services.
