Baluwatar: The ruling parties have engaged in discussions regarding the ordinance on land management and are preparing to introduce a new ordinance in parliament. A meeting involving top leaders of the ruling parties took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, focusing on progressing with the bill while addressing the concerns raised by the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire, who participated in the meeting, stated that the party has resolved to advance the draft of the new bill concerning the land ordinance. “There were some concerns about the land ordinance of JSP Nepal. The Prime Minister clarified this matter in the meeting. With the basis of same clarity, there was talk of making provisions in the bill. We have almost reached a consensus stage,” he remarked.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav, Janamat Party Chair CK Raut, Janata Samajbadi Party Chair Ashok Rai, and Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha, among others.
