Parliament Session Prorogued from Midnight Today


Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has prorogued the current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament from 12.00 tonight.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Head of the State took this action following the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in accordance with Article 93 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.



A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on Monday where it was decided to advise the President to prorogue the current session of both houses of parliament, with the prorogation to take effect from midnight tonight.
