Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed grief over the passing away of Senior Journalist Bhairav Risal. PM Oli has conveyed his sorrow through a social media post, stating his heartbreak upon hearing the news of Risal’s demise. He paid tribute to the late journalist and shared a photograph from their meeting last year during Risal’s 96th birthday celebration.
According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli reflected on his last encounter with Risal, which took place on March 4, 2024. In his message, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and acknowledged the loss of his close friend and esteemed journalist.
Senior Journalist Bhairav Risal, a former Chief Reporter at the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), was known for his significant contributions to human rights and environmental protection. He passed away at Frontline Hospital in Baneshwar at the age of 97, having battled heart and lung issues for an extended period.
