Kaligandaki Corridor Remains Blocked After Rockslide

Kaligandaki: The Kaligandaki corridor remains blocked following a rockslide on Monday, disrupting vehicular movement. The rockslide occurred at Baralla of Kaligandaki rural municipality-6, causing a significant obstruction on the road.

According to National News Agency Nepal, rural municipality chairman Bed Bahadur Thapa reported that efforts to clear the blockage continued through Monday night but were hindered by ongoing rock and mudslides. A police team led by Assistant Inspector of Police, Dev Bahadur Bhujel, has been mobilized from Bhurtung to the site to manage the situation, as stated by Inspector of Police, Narayan Prasad Adhikari.

Authorities have urged everyone affected to use alternative routes due to the road disruption. The blockade has severely impacted passengers traveling through the corridor to reach Parbat, Baglung, and Pokhara.
