RPP Leader Rabindra Mishra Gets Bail

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of Rabindra Mishra, senior vice-chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), on bail after a preliminary hearing.

According to National News Agency Nepal, District Judge Taradevi Maharjan mandated Mishra’s release on a bail amounting to Rs 300,000. Mishra was released following the submission of the bail amount.

Mishra’s arrest followed a violent incident during a pro-Monarchy rally in the Tinkune area of the capital city on March 28. Government attorneys had filed cases against Mishra, alleging treason, criminal acts, organized crime, and other offenses.
