RSP Celebrates Third Founding Day with Nationwide Campaign

Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to celebrate its Third Founding Day on June 21, marking the occasion with a nationwide campaign under the slogan ‘Hitting the Street and Parliament for the Abolition of Kleptocracy and the Promotion of Cultured Politics.’

According to National News Agency Nepal, the RSP Secretariat meeting has made several decisions ahead of the celebration, including hosting a central committee meeting at the party’s central office on the morning of the anniversary. The meeting also involved discussions about the ongoing case against party chairman Rabi Lamichhane and the party’s parliamentary activities concerning the ‘visit visa’ scam.

The secretariat meeting announced new appointments and role reshuffles within the party’s central departments. Dr. Swarnim Wagle has been named head of the Policy and Ideology Department, with Santosh Pariyar appointed as the deputy head. Manish Jha has been appointed as head of the Campaign and Publicity Department, Rajan Gautam as head of the Agriculture Department, and Ram Neupane as coordinator of the Energy and Water Resources Department.

In the face of challenging political conditions, the RSP has decided to establish a ‘Collaboration-Dialogue Task Force.’ The task force aims to unite alternative political advocates, activists, and independent groups under the party’s leadership.

The RSP Secretariat meeting also resolved to conduct an organizational campaign across all seven provinces, focusing on successfully hosting the party’s first historic general convention.
