Narayangadh: Vehicular movement at the Narayangadh-Butwal road section along the East-West Highway will be restricted for 10 hours every day from today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Department of Roads Project Directorate announced that the road section would be completely closed from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am from today until further notice, due to the risk of road accidents at the Dumkibas section.
Director at the Project Directorate, engineer Chudaraj Dhakal, stated that a meeting chaired by Chief District Officer Bhabishwor Pandey in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) on Friday led to this decision. The closure is necessary until a new bridge in the section is operational.
Additionally, the movement of large vehicles and goods carriers has been restricted at this section round the clock starting today. These vehicles have been advised to use alternative routes to ensure safety and continuity of transportation.
