Nepalgunj: Chief Administrative Officer at Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis, Ramhari Sharma, has suggested that RSS should secure adequate resources and ensure the effectiveness of its services. For the protection and promotion of local languages and culture, Sharma emphasized the significant role of local governments, adding that RSS could obtain further resources to support this initiative.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Sharma shared these insights during an event organized by RSS on ‘Abadhi News Service at RSS.’ The news agency has been providing news in the Abadhi language for one and a half years in collaboration with Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolis. At the event, Sanat Regmi, a former member secretary of Nepal Academy and a noted litterateur, highlighted the media’s crucial role in promoting and protecting the Abadhi language and literature. He suggested that news in Abadhi should reach a broader audience.
RSS Chairman Dharmendra Jha informed attendees that RSS was engaging in discussions with stakeholders to gather feedback on its new initiative-the addition of local languages to its news service. He stressed that RSS has prioritized the dissemination of news in local languages.
Several other participants at the event recommended that RSS focus on investigative stories and issues of public concern, pointing to the need for a more in-depth exploration of topics that matter to the community.
