Gulmi: The Kaligandaki corridor is currently blocked following a landslide at Baralwa site in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality within the Gulmi district.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman of the rural municipality, Bed Bahadur Thapa, reported that a significant landslide has occurred, involving large rocks, at Khadgakot in Gulmi. The District Police Office in Gulmi confirmed that a police team from Bhurtung Police Post has been deployed to the site. However, clearing the debris presents a challenge as the landslide is ongoing.
Additionally, the District Administration Office in Gulmi has advised people living downstream to take precautions against potential flooding and further landslides.
