Kathmandu: There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the provinces of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali today. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has indicated that the monsoon wind is currently influencing weather patterns across the entire country. The monsoon low-pressure trough is somewhat closer to its average position in eastern Nepal and has shifted north from its average position in the western region.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudur Pashchim provinces, as well as a few places in the remaining provinces. Additionally, there is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
The forecast for tonight suggests that the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy across the country.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Moreover, there is a potential for heavy rainfall in one or two places in Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces this evening.
