Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Election Commissioner, Ila Sharma. Releasing a condolence message on behalf of NC President Deuba, Chief Secretary at NC’s Central Office, Krishna Prasad Paudel, expressed deep grief over the demise of Ila Sharma. She had passed away while receiving treatment on Saturday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the late Sharma, who did journalism for long, had also played an active role in holding recent elections successfully in Nepal, the press statement read, adding that the country lost an important person. President Deuba expressed tribute to the late Sharma and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
