Maharajgunj: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated the extended service building of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) today.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the building was constructed with the support of Bhat-Bhateni Super Market. The inauguration took place during a programme held in Maharajgunj, marking the 43rd anniversary of the Hospital.

During his address, Prime Minister Oli emphasized the government’s commitment to the ‘Healthy Nepal’ initiative. He highlighted the importance of diet, lifestyle, and rest in reducing the number of patients, while also ensuring the provision of quality and accessible healthcare services.

Prime Minister Oli commended Meen Bahadur Gurung and Sabitri Gurung, the entrepreneur couple behind Bhat-Bhateni Super Market, for their contributions to social causes. He noted the difference between those who spend their wealth on leisure activities like casinos and the Gurung couple, who invest in building hospitals. He expressed hope that the couple’s philanthropic efforts would continue to grow.
