Former Chief of Madhes Province Jha Held on Rape Charges


Kathmandu: The Nepal Police arrested the former Chief of Madhes Province, Rajesh Jha, on Sunday. Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara, stated that Jha was apprehended in Kathmandu on charges related to a rape case.



According to National News Agency Nepal, an arrest warrant was issued by the court against Jha, specifically on the charge of rape. SP Bohara confirmed, “Our team arrested him from Kathmandu today.”



Furthermore, the Nepal Police has secured five days from the Kathmandu District Court to continue their investigation against the former Province Chief Jha, as confirmed by Bohara.
