Itahari: Two boys drowned in the Tyangrakhola River while swimming on Sunday afternoon in Itahari Sub-Metropolis-3. The tragic incident left the local community in mourning.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the victims were identified as Dipsan Chaudhary, 8, from Kalyanchowk of Itahari Sub-Metropolis-3, and Kribas Limbu, 11, who was originally from Chainpur of Sankhuwasabha and was staying with relatives in the area.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at Area Police Office, Itahari, Laxmi Bhandari, stated that both boys were rescued and rushed to Birat Teaching Hospital. Despite the efforts, they were declared dead shortly after arrival. The incident has prompted local authorities to issue warnings about the dangers of swimming in the river, especially for young children.
