Lalitpur: Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the need to ramp up coordination and collaboration for sustainable solution of climate change. He highlighted that reliance on foreign assistance alone is insufficient for tackling the climate crisis and urged Nepal to fully utilize its own resources, skills, and potentials. Deuba also called for Nepal to take the lead in expanding regional cooperation.
In the challenging context of climate change, Deuba underscored the importance of enabling multilateral diplomacy and encouraging advanced countries to reduce carbon emissions. He noted that Nepal should play a proactive role in fostering regional alliances to address environmental concerns effectively.
