Pushpalal, A Dedicated Revolutionary Leader: Chair Oli


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the importance of embracing the ideology of Pushpalal, the founding General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, who envisioned a transformative society.



According to National News Agency Nepal, during a program organized at the UML Headquarters in Chyasal to commemorate the 47th Pushpalal Memorial Day, Chair Oli remarked that Pushpalal consistently upheld his ideological beliefs. Despite certain limitations, Pushpalal was recognized as a leader of principle and action, embodying the essence of a revolutionary figure.



Chair Oli highlighted that Pushpalal transcended caste and religious boundaries, steering the communist party in Nepal dynamically. He described Pushpalal as a righteous and dedicated individual whose qualities remain unforgettable to UML leaders and cadres.



Pushpalal, born on 15 Asar 1981 BS in Bhangeri, Ramechhap, made significant contributions by translating the ‘Communist Manifesto’ by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels into the Nepali language for the first time. Under his leadership, the Communist Party of Nepal was established on 10 Baishakh 2006 BS.
