Kathmandu: The House of Representatives (HoR) held a meeting on Thursday where members unanimously approved a proposal regarding the Bill to amend the Human Trafficking and Smuggling (Control) (First Amendment), 2081. The proposal was presented by Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Nabalkishor Sah Sudi.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Sudi addressed queries from lawmakers about the Bill, pledging to incorporate their feedback as the legislative process moves forward. Several lawmakers participated in discussions focusing on the theoretical aspects of the Bill.
In a similar vein, the HoR also unanimously approved a proposal from Minister for Land Reforms, Cooperative, and Poverty Alleviation Balaram Adhikari. This proposal pertains to sending the Bill to amend certain Nepal Acts relating to land, 2082, to the relevant committee for detailed clause-wise discussions.
The next meeting of the HoR is scheduled for 1:00 pm on the upcoming Friday.
