Bhaktapur: The CPN (UML) Publicity Department Chief, Rajendra Gautam, has expressed strong disapproval regarding the potential return of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari to active politics, stating it is unacceptable for the UML.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Gautam addressed the matter during an interaction program organized by the Nepal Press Society in Bhaktapur. He emphasized that Bhandari’s membership in the UML and her political activism were minor issues for his party. Gautam pointed out that recent decisions made during the central committee meeting of the UML addressed critical matters, including the enforcement of a 70-year age limit, a two-term limit for executive positions, and the prohibition of the former president’s active participation in political affairs.
