Pokhara: The Nepal Police has initiated an investigation into the relocation of Urmila Hayu’s family from their native Chhetpa village in Golanjor Rural Municipality to Pokhara in Kaski district. The family, reported missing since Sunday, was found on Monday evening in the Gagangauda area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-30.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief of the Sishuwa Area Police Office in Pokhara, Shrawan BK, confirmed that the Hayu family had taken up residence by renting rooms in two houses in Gagangauda. The family members were found to be residing in the homes of Somnath Paudel and Chandra Bhandari.
BK stated, “General inquiry was done. They are living in the same houses where they had stayed yesterday. They are living there (Gagangauda) in the rented rooms.” Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that the Hayu family decided to relocate from Sindhuli due to frequent illnesses affecting their children and on the recommendation of a Dhami, or witch doctor. However, police continue to conduct further investigations into the matter.
