Lahan: Four drinking water processing industries have been sanctioned for their failure to meet required standards. These industries, operating within the Lahan municipality, were each fined Rs 5,000.
According to National News Agency Nepal, a joint monitoring team led by the Area Administration Office imposed fines on the Sita Mineral Water Industry and the Friends International Nepal located in Lahan-1, as well as the KB and Sons Nepal in Lahan-3 and the KL Mineral Water in Dhanggadhimai-10. This decision was confirmed by administrative officer Santosh Ray.
The joint monitoring team included representatives from the Lahan municipality, the Food Technology and Quality Control Division at Rajbiraj, and the Office of Cottage and Small Industries.
