Kathmandu: A book co-authored by Prof Pushkar Bajracharya, Mohan Das Manandhar, and Rojan Bajracharya has been released in the city. The release event took place on Thursday and was marked by the presence of notable figures including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, former finance minister Surendra Pande, and Vice Chancellor of Kathmandu University, Prof Achyut Wagle.
According to National News Agency Nepal, DPM Singh remarked that the book serves as a valuable resource for public debate on current economic and development issues. He expressed hope that it would act as a guiding tool for effective planning and policymaking. Former finance minister Pande highlighted the lack of economic development discussions in Nepal compared to political debates, noting the book’s timely arrival as the country seeks to boost economic growth.
Vice Chancellor Prof Wagle emphasized the book’s utility for both policymakers and researchers, noting its thorough analysis of previous works and publications on related topics. Prof Bajracharya, one of the authors, argued that the book provides direction for Nepal’s transformation into a prosperous nation and suggests measures for further actions.
Mohan Das Manandhar, another co-author, stated that the book lays a solid foundation for developing programs and policies in Nepal. It aims to engage students, teachers, and development practitioners alike, as noted by Rojan Bajracharya. The book offers a comprehensive analysis of economic dimensions and presents a new perspective on resource utilization.
