Awaza: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in Turkmenistan today to attend the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC). The conference, set to take place from August 5 to 8, is being held in the city of Awaza, where representatives from numerous landlocked nations will gather to discuss sustainable development and cooperation.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli was welcomed at the Turkmenbashi International Airport by Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, along with Lok Bahadur Thapa, the Resident Representative of the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in New York, USA, among others. The delegation, led by Prime Minister Oli, made its way to Awaza via Dubai International Airport.
Prime Minister Oli’s visit comes at the official invitation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The conference aims to address the unique challenges faced by landlocked developing countries and explore opportunities for international collaboration.
