Hetauda: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, has resigned from his position today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the resignation was submitted by Chief Minister Lama through his chief personal secretary, Chhatra Bahadur Lama, to the Office of the Province Chief. Devendra Sapkota, the spokesperson at the Office of the Province Chief, stated that the personal secretary delivered the resignation letter to Hetauda, marking the official step down of CM Lama.
Sapkota also indicated that the process for selecting a new chief minister will commence shortly. He mentioned that Province Chief Deepak Prasad Devkota is likely to start the selection process for the new chief minister today. This development marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Bagmati Province as they prepare for new leadership.
