Naubise-Nagdhunga Tunnel Nears Completion as PM Oli Announces Progress


Naubise: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that the construction of the Naubise-Nagdhunga Expressway is nearing completion. The Prime Minister shared this update via social media, highlighting the significant progress made on the infrastructure project.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the project has achieved 93 percent physical progress, indicating that it is on track to become operational soon. This development is expected to provide substantial convenience for public movement once the expressway opens.



Previously, on August 11, the Council of Ministers set the toll charges for vehicles using the 2.688-kilometer-long tunnel. The fees are structured as follows: Rs 65 for cars and vans entering Kathmandu and Rs 60 for exiting, Rs 115 and Rs 80 for minibuses and trucks, respectively, and Rs 260 and Rs 200 for buses and trucks. Heavy vehicles will be charged Rs 600 for entry and Rs 200 for exit.
