Mahakali Highway Reopens After Landslide Blockage

Darchula: The Mahakali Highway, which faced a blockade due to landslides caused by relentless rainfall on Sunday night, has been reopened as of late this morning.

According to National News Agency Nepal, landslides had disrupted the highway at Terchalek in Mallikarjun rural municipality-3 and Ranebas in Shailyashikhar municipality-6, affecting the Gokuleshwor-Darchula road section. This obstruction had halted traffic and left many vehicles and passengers stranded.

Authorities have efficiently cleared the landslide debris, enabling the resumption of traffic. With the highway now open, stranded vehicles and passengers have started their journeys towards their intended destinations.
