Entrepreneurs Seek Extended Operating Hours for Kathmandu Hotels


Kathmandu: The District Hotel Entrepreneurs’ Association has made a formal appeal for an environment that supports the extended operation of hotels in the Kathmandu district.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Association met with Chhabi Rijal, the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, to request his support in facilitating a more favorable environment for hotel operations. The president of the Association, Suresh Baral, specifically requested that hotel operations be permitted to continue until midnight.



The meeting included a request for the creation of a conducive environment for hotels in Thamel and Durbar Marg to operate 24 hours a day. Additionally, they sought permission for hotels in other areas, such as New Bus Park, Sundhara, Gaushala, Bagbazaar, and Kalanki, to remain open until midnight.



During the discussions, CDO Rijal expressed a positive outlook, indicating his willingness to discuss the entrepreneurs’ demands and concerns with relevant authorities to find solutions. He also committed to cooperating in managing hotel operations safely and systematically.
