Nepal Women’s National Football Team Embarks on Indonesian Journey for Tri-Nation Tournament


Kathmandu: The Nepal Women’s National Football Team was bade farewell today as the team is leaving for Indonesia to participate in the first Tri-Nation International Women’s Football Tournament. General-Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association, Kiran Rai, bade farewell to the 22-member team under the leadership of Captain Anjila Subba.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the tournament will be held in Indonesia from November 26 to December 2, where the Nepali team will compete with Indonesia and Chinese Taipei. Sabitra Bhandari (Sambha) and Sabita Rana Magar will not participate in the tournament due to injury.



General-Secretary Rai stated, “We adopted club-based structure to advance women football. As a result, we have 10 teams. Some recent international matches have shown that we can achieve excellent results.”
