Nagdhunga: The Nagdhunga-Malekhu road section is set to be partially closed for a week to facilitate an essential upgrading task. The Nagdhunga-Muglin road project will halt vehicular movement for five hours each day, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, between December 10 and 16.
According to National News Agency Nepal, vehicular activity will be restricted from Piplamod starting at Nagdhunga and the Pokharebhir area. The Road Project has advised travelers to utilize alternative routes during this period to avoid inconvenience.
For small and medium-sized vehicles, the Sitapaila-Bhimdhunga-Ramkot-Dharke road section is recommended. Additionally, travelers can opt for the Samakhusi-Tokha-Chhahare-Galchhi route or the Jarekhet-Trishuli-Ghatbesi bridge route as viable alternatives during the scheduled closure.
The upgrading of the Nagdhunga-Naubise section of the Tribhuvan Highway is nearing completion following the blacktopping process. Engineer Keshav Ojha from the project highlighted that the partial closure is necessitated by the need to mobilize very heavy equipment and supplies simultaneously, which might pose an increased risk of accidents.
