Bhaktapur: The CPN (UML) has announced the election schedule to elect the new leadership from the party’s 11th National Congress. The Chairman of UML Central Election Commission, Dr. Bijaya Subba, released the election schedule this evening.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the namelist of voters will be made public at 7:00 this evening, while complaints regarding the voters’ namelist can be filed until 9:00 am on Monday. The final namelist will be published at 10:15 am on Monday, with candidates receiving nomination forms from 9:00 am to 12:00 in the afternoon on the same day.
Candidates are required to register their forms between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, with the preliminary namelist of candidates set to be released at 2:30 pm. Dr. Subba mentioned that complaints concerning the candidates can be filed from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Monday. The final namelist of candidates will be published at 6:00 pm on Monday.
The election schedule indicates that voting will take place from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on December 16. The inaugural session of the UML’s 11th National Congress was held in Bhaktapur on Saturday, while the closed session of the party’s National Congress is currently ongoing in Bhrikutimandap.
