Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) has convened a Central Committee meeting this morning, as announced by party officials. The meeting, slated for 9:00 AM at Bhrikuti Mandap, coincides with the venue of the party’s 11th National General Convention.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Rajendra Gautam, the Head of the Publicity Department for UML, stated that the agenda includes discussions on amendments to the party’s statute and current political issues. This meeting is a critical precursor to the General Convention’s activities.
The closing session of the General Convention, initially set for 8:00 AM, has been postponed to 12:30 PM to accommodate the Central Committee meeting. The General Convention is expected to conclude with the selection of new leadership for the party.
