Kathmandu: Joint Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has emphasized the necessity for the government to engage in frequent and intense dialogues with political parties to ensure the upcoming election is held on the slated date.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during a press meet organized by the Press Centre Nepal at Sindhulimadhi, the former Prime Minister expressed that while his party supports the election, the government and other political parties have not been conducting serious discussions necessary for its execution.
“It is not clear whether the government has prepared an environment for the election. However, it would be a stretch to say that the government has frustrated the atmosphere either,” Nepal remarked, highlighting the need for additional dialogue. He also addressed the Gen Z movement’s narrative, which suggests people are against legacy political parties, stating that recent political developments have challenged this perspective.
NCP leader Nepal reiterated that the Nepali citizens have not lost faith in politics and stressed the importance of intensifying preparations for the election.
