Kathmandu: The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security is poised to introduce an innovative initiative, the ‘Help to Help 10 Cell’, aimed at curbing fraudulent activities in the realm of foreign employment. This announcement was made during a press conference held on Tuesday in observance of International Migrants Day.
According to National News Agency Nepal, MoLESS Secretary Dr. Krishnahari Pushkar revealed that the ‘Help to Help 10 Cell’ will commence operations on December 23. This initiative is a response to the growing risk of deception faced by individuals seeking foreign employment, often resulting from misleading information circulated on social media and other digital platforms. Dr. Pushkar emphasized the cell’s mission to provide official information and a secure environment for workers venturing abroad.
The ‘Help to Help 10 Cell’ is designed to address 10 critical queries for workers embarking on foreign employment, including the identification of countries with employment demand, recognized recruitment companies, job qualifications, age requirements, necessary training, health prerequisites, associated costs, payment processes, safe travel methods, and official contact points for relevant authorities.
Dr. Pushkar further explained that the ‘Help to Help 10 Cell’ will integrate labor offices from all seven provinces, employment information centers at 753 local levels, the Department of Foreign Employment, and the Solution Call Center to streamline the information dissemination and support process for prospective foreign workers.
