Katunje: Vehicular movement at the Katunje-Mangaltar section of the BP highway has been obstructed since this morning.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Police Office reported that the road section has been blocked after rainfall swept away diversions constructed at different places along the stretch.
Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Rabin Bista, shared that although activities were underway to repair the diversions, it would take time to resume traffic. The rainfall increased the water level in the Roshi River, which subsequently swept away the previously constructed diversions.
Meanwhile, police have been holding vehicles at Kavrebhanjyang of Dhulikhel and Nepalthok of Sindhuli following the road obstruction. Police have requested the public to refrain from traveling along this section until further notice.
