PM Shah Arrives in Pokhara for Family Tour

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah arrived in Pokhara on a family trip this afternoon. He is scheduled to stay in a resort in Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality-6.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Kaski’s assistant chief district officer Chitrangat Baral confirmed the PM’s arrival with his family. “This is entirely a family trip of the PM, and security arrangements have been tightened here in view of the visit,” he said.

Baral mentioned that no official events were scheduled following the PM’s arrival. However, locals at Astam of Machhapuchchhre Rural Municipality have expressed their excitement about the PM’s visit, said local Shobhakar Adhikari. Astam faces issues of roadway connectivity and drinking water, and residents hope such issues will be addressed following the visit of the Chief of government, he added.

Tourism entrepreneurs are also pleased with Shah’s arrival in the town. They hope the visit will contribute to enhancing the tourism industry in Kaski.

The PM and his family opted for road transportation to Pokhara from Kathmandu. His family is scheduled to visit Mustang on Saturday.
