Sudurpaschim: The Sudurpaschim province government has announced a contribution of Rs 20 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, specifically for the relief and rehabilitation of victims affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
According to National News Agency Nepal, this decision was made during the provincial council of ministers meeting. Prakash Bahadur Rawal, the provincial government’s spokesperson, stated that the funds would be deposited to aid the flood victims.
In addition to the financial assistance, the provincial government has also resolved to dispatch a medical team to the flood-affected regions to provide necessary treatment to the injured and sick individuals. The council meeting further decided to appoint Gokarna Prakash Bhatta as the vice-chair of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, while Ganga Datta Joshi and Hira Chand were appointed as commission members.
