PM Shah Congratulates MMA Fighter Rabindra Dhant for Semifinal Victory


Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has extended his congratulations to athlete Rabindra Dhant following his victory in the semi-final of Road to UFC Season-5. Dhant, a mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor, achieved this milestone by defeating New Zealand fighter Kasib Murdoch at the Octagon in Shanghai, China.



According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Shah took to social media on Friday evening to offer his congratulations to Dhant. In his message, he also expressed gratitude to Dhant for raising awareness about the recent disaster that struck Nepal. “My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Nepali MMA player Rabindra Dhant for his win in the ‘Road to UFC Season-5’ and entering the final. On behalf of the government of Nepal, I thank Dhant for also informing the international community about recent disaster Nepal suffered,” PM Shah stated in his post.



The Prime Minister highlighted that Dhant’s success is a source of pride for all Nepali sports enthusiasts and the nation as a whole. Dhant has made history by becoming the first Nepali fighter to reach this level in mixed martial arts. His victory is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the growing prominence of Nepali athletes on the international stage.
