Kathmandu:Dashain tika ceremony of the main day of Bada Dashain began today. People have started receiving tika and Jamara from their elders as the prasad of Naba Durga.
According to National News Agency RSS, the tika ceremony began at 1026 am, which was set as the auspicious time to receive Dashain tika. The Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee determined this specific time for this year’s tika of Bijaya Dashami.
It is noted that since Bijaya Dashami is an auspicious day in itself, tika can be received throughout the day, eliminating the necessity to adhere strictly to the auspicious time for receiving tika.
