Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Bishnu Prasad Paudel, has pledged to involve the private sector in the decision-making process.
In his address to a programme organised by the Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum, Rupandehi Chapter on Friday, the Minister said the government is ready to listen to the problems of the business community and to explore solutions through dialogues.
Stating that various economic indicators are now positive, he said economy would be balanced if a 30-percent rise in revenue collection is achieved.
Inflow of remittances and foreign currency reserve is satisfactory while overall internal production and demand have decreased, he said, adding that industrial production on average is just around 40 per cent, exerting pressure on the entire economy.
“Nepal has ample opportunities for hydropower, tourism, agricultural and service sectors,” he said, calling upon the youths to seek career opportunities within the country.
