A weeklong tree fair began on the premises of
Nowjuan field in the town today.
The District Administration arranged the fair while Additional Deputy
Commissioner Biroda Rani inaugurated it.
With Forest Officer Rafiquzzaman Shah in the chair, the function was
attended, among others, by Deputy Director of district Water Development
Board Probir Kumar Pal, Forest Officer Mehedi Jaman, Principal Muhammad
Waliul Islam and Mostak Ahmed of district Nurseries Association.
A total of 50 stalls of different government departments and non-government
organisations have been set up on the fair premises.
